Journal Prompts for Teens

Regular price $2.00

You may have heard that using a journal is a great strategy, but you don't know what to write about or where to begin. These 54 journal prompts can help. They provide thought-provoking questions to help identify feelings and emotions and explore healthy ways to cope. It's a creative way to encourage self-awareness.

To use the cards, print off the six pages, then cut out each journal prompt. Pick one card, and use that as a question to begin your journal session for the day. You may write a few words, sentences, or paragraphs - it doesn't matter how long you write as long as you get a little inspiration to write something, learn more about yourself, and explore what strategies might work for you.

THE POWER OF WRITING IN A JOURNAL:

Writing in a journal is a strategy I love to introduce to my clients, in particular my teen clients, for lots of different reasons:

  • Writing in a journal helps you process what's happening.
  • It can help you solve problems
  • It can help you re-frame your thinking
  • Sometimes, it's easier to write about than talk about hard things. You are free to say everything you feel - the good, the bad, and the horrible stuff you'd never say out loud.
  • It's portable and convenient
  • It's not graded
